Absence levels and Performance Assessments
Many organizations portray the fact that the attendance of the employees is a major sector in evaluating their performance as it is said to be included in the assessments which are reported annually. In the year 2002, Dunn and Wilkinson reported that there were three major firms in UK that allotted different assessments for the employees which came in a different category because of the level of absence in the firm. As a matter of fact, many employees were restricted to any raise or promotion if their absence level was not acceptable. And in fact, it is known factor of reliability by Metropolitan service of police was stated in IDS 2001.
