Fig. 3.14(a) we see a force F to act at the point named A on the plane.
Fig. 3.14(b) we could see that at the point B, there are two forces which act on F and- F but that does not affect the body externally.
Fig. 3.14(c) we see that at point B, a force F acts at a clockwise moment M =- Fx.
This is because –F works at the point Band F acts at the point A. Thus it is evident that a couple of forces whose magnitude is Fx is clockwise.
