But keeping in mind the benefits of doing them, young learners anyway have to do their task. Thetrickiest method is to complete quickly. But, how to do homework on time?

When elders still struggle to manage time, it’s no shocking that students mess things up. Anything that creates anxiety should be winded up at the earliest. While teachers cannot stop giving assignments, students cannot avoid them.

“The best way to get something done is to begin.”

Without a doubt! Fear is one of the darkest sides of human beings. Remember, there is never a ‘tomorrow’ for the pending tasks. If you have goose bumps on thinking about assignments, that’s really never going to help you. Instead, do it now and finish it early. That’s how to do homework on time– the most effective solution.

Never procrastinate! Perhaps nothing can be worse than this habit.Homeworks are given almost every other day. If you keep thempending, you will only end up pilingal together. Getting it done at the right time will keep you stress free for rest of the day.

How to do homework on time? Check out some alternate ways –

Wondering what can be other ways to get assignments done; that too on time? From my personal experience, I have listed some methods that helped me to a great extent. You can also give them a try.

  • Create a study environment:

Or choose that suits best. An area with minimum noise disturbance helps in concentratingon work. The more you focus, the quicker it gets done. Do not sit on thebed. The comfort will tempt you to sleep and slow down your job. Instead, a little pain in the butt will keep you awake. Sit at a desk. Make sure the area is perfectly lit and energising.

  • Keep all distractions away:

Gadgets like mobile phones, tablets, laptops or television cause distractions. Stay away as much possible from these things at the time of doing homework. You can then yourself find out how to do homework on time.

  • Categorise your subjects:

You must have to do projects on different subjects? In that case, prioritize your selection in advance. Make a list of which one to do first. It is better to allot time along with. If they are small projects, make a schedule as below –

  • History ~ 4:30 to 5:30 pm
  • Literature ~ 5:45 to 6:30 pm
  • Maths ~ 7:30 to 8:45 pm
  • Project revision ~ 9:00 to 9:15 pm
  • For long assignments:

Big projects demand more time and concentration. If the time required to complete is four days, start from the very day when it has been assigned. There will be no last minute hassle before submission. If group study helps you, never hesitate to go for it. Working with friends can be more engaging.

  • Take breaks:

There is no guilt in allowing self to breathe in more air. Working at a stretch can affect both your mind and body. Take short breaks of 10 to 15 minutes in between. Treat yourself with some favourite snacks or delicious juices. It will boost up your energy cells.

Taking out time from the ticking clock:

Wondering what I’m talking about? Relax! Let me clear out. When I was young, my mother used to tell me – “the only common factor inthe lives of trillions of humans is 24 hours.”So true. Whatever is there, we have to do themaximum and everything within this 24 hours time phase.

The definition appliessameto students also.If you want to do homework faster, utilise the in-between times of your day. What I mean to say is how to do homework on time trickily –

  • While travelling in abus, prepare your schedule of doing assignments.
  • If it’s a literature project, read the novel on way. You can frame a clear idea on how to proceed.
  • Utilise the time of an off period. Not all teachers are present all day to take classes. In such cases, make use of that time and start working on the project. It can cheeryour friends and give out a positive homework idea.
  • Simply discuss with your classmates. How they are going to do or which way it can be done If your concept or plan is clear, you can immediately work on it getting back home.

There have been many arguments on pros and cons of homework. Practically, as such there’s no clear solution. You, being a student yourself, are the practical sufferer or benefiter of this issue. Should kids have homework? What’s your take on the matter? Tell us about your valuable opinion.

Things you should avoid:

Like you, most studentshave some regular bad habits, enough to hamper their enthusiasm. If you seriously want to know how to do homework on time, avoid these things:

  • In an on-going class, don’t do homework in the middle. You will miss essential points.
  • Big projects become almost impossible to finish early. So, don’t keep them for the last day.
  • Avoid doing late nights or pulling all-nighters. A sleep-deprived student usually ends up making mistakes.
  • Some schools offer ‘late homework’ passes. Instead of wasting, save them for the emergency period.
  • Children often choose to copy from friends. That’s a poor idea, trust me. Your teacher is smart enough to catch you. She will only assign it again – an unnecessary self-invited burden.

One thing students should understand clearly. It’s your work. You have to do it with complete responsibility. To spend some leisure time and remain stress free, get your project done as quickly as possible with accuracy. Atleast never keep it for the following day.It will only raise your anxiety.
